The mission of Braille Bible printing began in 1996. With the supports of United Bible Societies and other Christianity organizations, Amity Printing Company launched Braille Bible production. The Braille Bible provides the convenience for blind Christians to read Bible and brings light to their lives. By the end of July 2015, 2652 sets of Braille Bible have been produced.
Nanjing Amity Printing participated in the "Living Water Tour" activities organized by Amity Foundation. This activity make our urban residents expereince difficulty to get water for western people via fetching water by foot, calling for more efforts for build small cellar for Yuanmou County villagers.
Amity staffs actively participated in the "charity volunteers Carnival" Charity Bazaar. People come up with a large number of personal items for charity. Charity Cultural Arts Center has purposely offered many exquisite handicrafts to the bazaar. The Bazaar activities are held annually, the proceeds will be donated to the orphans and disabled children in rural areas.
With enthusiastic participation in philanthropic efforts, Amity Printing Company has contributed a lot to the implementation of the Amity Foundation’s philanthropic and developmental projects. APC participates in the “Abundant Life—Amity Enterprise Philanthropy Delegation” organized by the Amity Foundation. Amity staffers understand more about the project operation, which built a solid foundation for fulfilling the company’s social responsibility and boosting philanthropic efforts.
Amity bakery, an affiliate of Amity Home of Blessing, is a particular training & practice station for young people who have intellectual disabilities. APC provides its staff with free voucher as al-lowances for purchasing birthday cakes, breads, cookies, cakes for mid-autumn festival from Amity bakery.
On November 8th 2012, the inauguration of Amity International Philanthropy Valley was held. According to the statistics, the Home for the Elderly covers 26 acres, with a building area of 11,700 m2 and 200 beds. 73 elderly men live in the Home now. 90 beds are reserved for homeless elders. Other beds are reserved for elders with dementia. Amity Printing organized 25 staffs who won the participation award in year-end party to carry out the “respect and care of the old activity “at Amity International Philanthropy Valley.
